Lucia & the Best Boys - 'Perfectly Untrue'
Lucia & the Best Boys are returning to navigate the confusion of heartbreak with the new single ‘Perfectly Untrue’.
2020 has been a very busy year for this three-piece, having already released an EP ‘Eternity’ earlier in the year and are back again with another collection of music. The trio have already begun to tease their new EP ‘The State Of Things’ with previous single ‘Let Go’ and will form the basis for their support role alongside Dream Wife in Spring 2021.
‘Perfectly Untrue’ was only written a few weeks after the initial single ‘Let Go’, but sees a return with a more alt-pop direction as they drop the grit and pump up the atmosphere as lead singer Lucia Fairfull lays it all on the line with a bold and passionate vocal to describe her mixed emotions around a heartbreak.
Fairfull revealed that ‘Perfectly Untrue’ and ‘Let Go’ were only written a “couple of weeks” apart, but finds it “funny” the contrast in the emotions between the two as she tackled the rollercoaster of emotions that come with “heart-break”. The track pretends that everything is alright through the glitter-covered lyrics, but is a front as it couldn’t be any further from truth, this new direction fits Lucia & the Boys and perfectly sets up what we can expect to be one of the best EP’s of the year.
‘Perfectly Untrue’ is available now on all major streaming platforms and Lucia & the Best Boys’ new EP ‘The State Of Things’ is available October 9th.
