Home Counties show no intention of slowing down as they follow up their debut EP with self-produced single, ‘Modern Yuppies’, out now via Alcopop! Records.

After releasing their debut single ‘Redevelopment’ last March and debut EP of the same name back in September, Home Counties are already working on new and exciting things. The first indication of this is new single ‘Modern Yuppies’. It compares the “young urban professionals of the 1980s and those of today” being “plagued by the same condition – of constantly needing more”, driven by a playful synth disco-funk sound that evokes Squid vibes.

‘Modern Yuppies’ is the first of two self-produced standalone singles to be released and suggests the direction of a future EP in the works. So, expect more synths and drum machines with that distinctive indie-punk quirk that Home Counties always deliver.
