Francis of Delirium – 'Let It All Go'

Canadian – American duo Francis of Delirium share breath-taking new single ‘Let It All Go’.

Translating an entire mindset into sound can be a difficult task, but not for Francis of Delirium. Driven by sharp, angular guitars, new single ‘Let It All Go’ sees vocalist Jana Bahrich give voice to a whole bunch of penned-up frustrations and anger. “‘Let It All Go’ chronicles a full commitment to isolation. It imagines me on a night out, drunk and babbling on about how sad I am,” Jana explains. An emotive rant delivered by raging vocals that pull you down stream - “We were so close, so close. Start to push you away, push you away. Feeling emptier, emptier.” And then, suddenly, the rage seems to disappear along with the wilding guitars; replaced by an eerie sense of calm. A wave of acceptance flows through this new-found state of minimal production. But, as it goes with every peaceful state of mind, it’s not meant to last… In a fit of chaotic conflict, the two opposing forces come together, swelling into a full-blown storm and then, finally, fading to black with one last wailing cry: “But aren’t you tired?”

‘Let It All Go’ shows Francis Of Delirium in all their songwriting genius. From poignant lyricism to extremely clever arrangements, this track has it all. Following previous single ‘Lakes’, it sets the scene for the band’s upcoming sophomore EP ‘Wading’ – a record that “reflects on the existence of self, the extent to which we can know ourselves and what it means to rebuild when everything falls apart.”
