Beans On Toast - 'Not Everybody Thinks We're Doomed'
Beans on Toast’s recently released his brand new single ‘Not Everybody Thinks We’re Doomed’ and it’s exactly what we hoped it would be.
“Not everybody thinks we’re doomed, and that’s a brilliant attitude” must be one of our favourite lines of the new track which is taken from the upcoming album, ‘Survival of the Friendliest’.
Beans on Toast signature upbeat storytelling is supported by a simple and brass-filled soundscape with subtle vocal harmonies. Its focus is fully laid on his chipper outlook, or as Beans states: “I love life. I’m constantly inspired by the crazy world in which we find ourselves.”
Beans on Toast won’t feed on doom and gloom, and gives anything an uplifting spin which gives his music its charm. “The road ahead may not be an easy one, but I refuse to believe it’s all for nothing and that we should roll over and quietly wait for extinction.” Admittedly, we’ve thought this before and felt like we should just get it over with, but Beans on Toast gives us a kick up the butt, “We need to visualise a better future. We need to adapt, and need to celebrate the things worth celebrating.” That’s what this song is, a celebration of life and our future.
This festive celebration of life is an unhurried and unadorned one, a natural and raw but passionate sound that truly translates its message. The single’s backing arrangements were written by Blaine Harrison and Jack Flanagan of the Mystery Jets and the video stars dental nurse Mollie Cook who used her time away from the surgery during lockdown learning to skate like a pro. Beans on Toast truly knows who to surround himself with and will be touring the UK with a brand new live band, for which the tickets are on sale now!
