Self described fairy indie pop artist Ha Hay has just released her new single ‘Bloodlust’.
Reflecting on some past relationships, Ha Vey enchants us with her airy soprano vocal style - which shifts between spoken word and sweet melodies. An almost poetic lyric flow, she hits hard with cutting lines like - “I was the bloodlust, hoping your veins would just rupture. Show me your pain, show me your love, I just want to know that you were really human. I just want you to prove it”. The track is simultaneously atmospheric and rich with detail, with a driving 90s rock drum beat and bass, harmonic and de-tuned guitar details, layered backing vocals, xylophone, and culminates in a crescendoing, ethereal vocal whirlwind.
