Sterling Press - 'Very Fun Times’

Sterling Press are here to shake things up with their ferocious new single ‘Very Fun Times’. 

This four-piece from London may only be relatively new, only forming in March of last year, but have used the time despite everything else going in the world to really get stuck into writing and recording and made it the bedrock for what is shaping up to be a memorable 2021. 

That time has paid dividends, allowing this quartet to really build up from their classic rock influence and grow their eagerness for experimentation, with influences from punk and ska which has created a wide spanning kaleidoscope of sound all wrapped into their first release. 

‘Very Fun Times’ is flooded with driving guitars with a mixing bowl of rock, pop, and jazz that produces an upbeat concoction that is hard to take out of your ears. Beyond the infectious indie sound, the track narrates “someone trying to fit in” and how it might be the “best days their life”. Sterling Press have really come flying out of the traps with ‘Very Fun Times’ and it’s certainly just to start to what will be a formative year for these four young Londoners.
