Eloise - 'Hungover'

unnamed-3.jpg

With an ethereal intro featuring bare-knuckle vulnerable vocals and atmospheric harmonies on the sidelines, Eloise lures us smoothly into her bedtime story of heart-ache plus a pesky ex and then casually slides in a sexy sassy groove, leading you astray just as you've promised yourself, 'Well OK, but I can only stay for the one drink'. It's so easy on the ear, and before you know it you're doing the stank-face-head-bob like you're a 70s funk bass player.

In the verses there's clever space between the voice and groove for some lovely noodling guitar, but all the while you're still secretly aching for that catchy hook to strut back through the bedroom door again wearing nothing but Chanel.

The vocals feel curvy, sultry, Jessica Rabbit and then suddenly detonate a secret weapon of belting honesty, giving you a flavour of what Eloise has tucked in reserve (girl got some pipes on her!). Great storyline, addictive hook, sophisticated little drop-out and harmonies, it's a delicious buffet for the ears (and eyes if you're watching the effortlessly stylish video to accompany it).

"I'm hungover, because i drowned every thought of you in a glass of regret', we've all been there Eloise, just next time, try tequila instead of regret, we'll buy the first round!
