Hauskey - 'Go Wrong'

Australian producer Hauskey returns with a fresh new tune “Go Wrong” that combines summer vibes and vulnerable lyrics.

After an epic entrance with his ‘Slow’ EP, Australian producer Hauskey comes back with a chill and almost summery tune ‘Go Wrong’. Channeling the funky style of the pop duo Surfaces and the honest and vulnerable songwriting of artists like Role Model, the new track is an interesting musical paradox.

Opening with a catchy set of harmonies and a very laid back beat, the track lays the ground for a  fresh summer tune, however we quickly realise that there’s more to the song than just cool vibes. In what has become his signature smooth voice, Hauskey opens up about the fact that his life has not been a breeze and the challenges he has faced have made him suspicious of any small high. “I’m so used to being down that I don’t trust good news […] If I’m doing great then something must be wrong” he sings.

With an very relatable story of having struggle pursuing his artistic passion, Hauskey certainly speaks from a place of raw honesty. Now based in Australia and with a major record deal backing him up, he spends his days honing his craft from a Toyota van. Hauskey is certainly one of the newest entries in the scene and is one to watch out for in 2021.
