Foxglove – 'Give It Up'

Manchester’s indie pop four-piece Foxglove share 90s inspired new single ‘Give It Up’.

Brimming with bright guitars and an exhilarating chorus, ‘Give It Up’ serves bubbly nostalgia while frontwoman Abi’s warm vocals lend themselves to confessional lyricism. “I try to talk it over but I’m not myself,” she sings, the vulnerable undertone a perfect contrast to the song’s sonic euphoria. “We are really re-living our childhood with this track,” guitarist Ryan explains. “It’s everything we listened to on our mum’s cassette player when we were growing up.”

Combining shoegazey ambience with undeniably catchy melodies, Foxglove’s brand of sound is all kinds of fun, and ‘Give It Up’ is a promising glimpse into the band’s future.
