Bandit - 'Peppermints Don't Hide Everything'

If you are looking for an effectively energising and distorted alternative to early Arctic Monkeys, Bandit have got you covered. The Liverpool-based band have just released new single ‘Peppermints Don’t Hide Everything’.

This single is the first release on brand new label SAM Records, a collaboration with Republic of Music, and gathering from their first release the future's looking bright and rocking for the label. Four-piece Bandit had the honour of being the first on the roster and their infectious alternative pop is loud and convinces of the bands’ musical abilities. The band have been crafting their sound the past nine months and are now more than ever ready for the future!

With missed opportunities due to the pandemic the band have still been pushed back in their tracks, as they started last year with a slot at Liverpool Sound City and being the opener for some of the indie greats; King Nun. But never mind last year, Bandit is ready for 2021, and not just with catchy hooks. Lyrically, ‘Peppermints Don’t Hide Everything’ is an open-hearted story of late night mistakes, singer Nat says: “A vague aroma of peppermints may only disguise the truth of a cigarette flavoured kiss, but sometimes the heart wants what it wants - terrible decision or not.”

And I could not have worded it any better, Bandit are the emerging outfit we were waiting for, the perfect solution for fans of Cage The Elephant, Fontaines DC and and Otherkin!
