The Haunt shares soaring alternative rock on electrifying single and tour-themed visuals, ‘Wish You Stayed’.

’Wish You Stayed’ is the fourth single taken from The Haunt’s upcoming EP, ‘Social Intercourse’, an explosive cut of alternative rock that was written by vocalist Anastasia Grace and producer Matt Good (Asking Alexendria, Hollywood Undead).

So, what can we expect? A melodic, spacious and emotive instrumental guides Anastasia Grace’s extraordinary vocal in on the vulnerable lyrics, “I’ve been away for a while, your heart was always my home.” Soon enough, the track changes tempo and mood, seeing jagged guitar riffs and boisterous percussion let rip alongside Anastasia Grace’s rawer vocal that stands tall amidst blasts of swirling orchestral electronic rock textures. The track is also intensified by haunting and dark sections of vocal distortion seeing Anastasia Grace roar, “I wish you fucking stayed.

‘Wish You Stayed’ is a dynamic offering; suspenseful and thoughtful, frenetic and fearless, edgy and gothic, and claws its way to a cathartic crescendo, as The Haunt and Good help lay to rest the ghosts of a long distance relationship that saw Anastasia Grace coming home from tour to find herself alone.

The track comes accompanied with a visual directed by Chris Hill/Digital Cypher that, limited by the pandemic, uses a green screen to recreate the ups and downs of life on tour van mischief and convenience store bathrooms. The music video also includes concert footage, meet ’n greets and merch table hangs with fans in Prague, Paris, London, Manchester, Amsterdam, Pittsburgh, and Munich, while on tour with Palaye Royale.
