Curtis Walsh feat. Anna Pancaldi – 'Bend'

Breakout artist Curtis Walsh joins forces with fellow singer songwriter Anna Pancaldi on emotive ballad ‘Bend’.

Carried by swooning piano lines, Curtis and Anna dance circles around each other; their intoxicating vocals coming together in a sweeping chorus only to break apart again. Sweet and gentle with a heart-breaking undertone, the two are a perfect match, painting ‘Bend’ different shades of gold and amplifying its heartfelt lyricism – “it’s better for me and it’s better if we just watch it die in flames.” Talking about the inspiration behind track, Curtis says: “Anna and I could both relate to the feeling of realising something has to change in a relationship but also being fearful of that change at the same time. So, we tried to capture that emotion in this song”. While Anna adds: "We wanted to encapsulate the feeling of giving your every part to someone/something but coming to a realization that stepping back can at times be the most honest offering to you both when it's no longer working".

Curtis is one of those voices you can’t help but fall in love with. Following a string of stunning singles last year (including heart-wrenching covers of ‘Killing Me Softly’ and The Beach Boys’ ‘God Only Knows’), ‘Bend’ is another beautiful offering from an artist set to win hearts by storm with his delicate soundscapes and honest lyricism. A must listen for fans of JC Stewart, Masie Peters and Rhys Lewis.
