Rising LA alt-pop native spill tab shares exciting new single ‘PISTOLWHIP’.

Carried by a sharp sense of immediacy and an assertive bassline, ‘PISTOLWHIP’ is a wild ride into Claire’s emotional state. Where her vocals seem poised and collected, frenetic guitars paint a different picture as they spiral into a turbulent chorus - A sonic outpouring of pent-up anger. "It’s about getting cheated on and the dichotomy of wanting to strangle the other person, but also being shot down and vulnerable,” Claire explains. “It’s the duality of going through something that really hurts. You can’t believe it’s happening, but it is. I want my music to be like running into a wall. You can’t not listen to it. I always try to make what I’m doing stand out. That’s what I definitely have in my head.”

With its unique dynamic and shifting sonic textures, ‘PISTOLWHIP’ is a brilliant example of spill tab’s exhilarating sound. Following last year’s critically acclaimed debut EP ‘Oatmilk’, this track more than anything fuels excitement for any and all of her future ventures. Dreamy and endlessly creative, spill tab has long put her music on the map as an ambitious tour de force and is on a sure path to becoming a dark-pop essential.
