Corella - 'Monday'
The smooth and catchy alternative pop sound of Manchester-based four piece Corella has truly become one regosnisable out of thousands. Their brand new single ‘Monday’ is bigger, better and more convincing!
The band have been releasing strong and well-crafted, well-produced songs ever since their debut ‘Waterfall’ in 2016. Their new single ‘Monday’ is even stronger than previously released singles, there is more energy, more of a punch and a colourful and catchy pop-inspired alternative soundscape. Named after what is notoriously the worst day of the week, the band are giving this day a positive spin with their slick and flamboyant indie sound. Corella are meant to perform at big venues and on national festivals and with ‘Monday’ they release our new favourite soundtrack of a summer that will hopefully come sooner than later!
Frontman Joel explains a little more on what inspired ‘Monday’: “‘Monday’ came from the frustration of not being able to do the things we love. With the simple things in life being taken away, you realise how valuable your time is with everything. Instead of hating Mondays we must learn to love them and take every opportunity that comes our way!”
We expect the band’s increasingly exciting sound to reach even further afield in the upcoming few months with them signing to Manchester-based label Scruff of the Neck. Hopefully the sound of ‘Monday’ is what has set the tone for the upcoming releases!
