After its initial self-release back in 2019 via her own label Grrrl Groannn, Midlands based artist Bryony Williams has reissued her 2019 record ‘Growing/Fading’ - which is due for a digital release this Friday 21st May.

We are delighted to share with you a special three part video that Bryony has released to accompany this special occasion.

“Little Tree is all about that inner-monologue inside the head that questions everything you're doing. If it isn't productive or career-bustin', then what's the point? The broccoli represents this when it appears while I'm having some leisure time. As the antagonist, it is pushing you to do more, to go to your very limits. The scene of myself scrambling up The Wrekin hill is a visual translation of overthinking and anxiety, without rational thinking. But the resolve of the song is a reality check that it is all temporary and that what you're doing is good enough - whatever you are doing, as long as you are enjoying it, then that is perfectly fine.

Silhouette acts as the b-side to this double single release, which showcases a different tone altogether. This song instead is about heartbreak and the whirlwind that entails. It has a stalker-like feel, similar to The Cure - Lullaby, which I adored listening to as a child. The transition track between the two songs, Tell Me, was born out of pulling stems from Silhouette and creating something abstract. The lyric line that features in the track is a quote from Mary Oliver's poem, 'The Summer Day', where she finds beauty in the simplest of forms in the world of nature. My intention for this quote is to get the listener to reflect upon their own life through this confrontation, yet contrastingly, to nurture and be grateful for what is already there, which bridges the meanings of both Little Tree and Silhouette.” - Bryony explains.
