Lucy Deakin – 'acting like you’re famous'

Rising bedroom pop artist Lucy Deakin returns with anthemic new single ‘acting like you’re famous’.

With striking vocals and a meteoric chorus, ‘acting like you’re famous’ calls out all wanna-be influencers whose ego has grown too big for their boots in a way that is both, tongue-in-cheek and straight to the point –“boy, you peaked at 21”. As bold as it is observant, Lucy’s wit-infused lyricism and big melodies perfectly lend themselves to heartfelt sing-alongs and “white girl dancing”. Not least because she strikes a chord. 

Inspired by the likes of Troye Sivan and Conan Gray, Lucy Deaking is shaping up to climb the pop ladder all the way to the top. Last year’s EP ‘i got bored’ put Lucy on the map has an artist to look out for, ‘acting like you’re famous’ lays the groundwork for brand new material and the next chapter on her musical journey.
