Eloise – 'Who’s She'

London-based artist Eloise lets down all guards on reflective new track ‘Who’s She’.

To a breath-taking backdrop of swaying guitars and subdued strings, Eloise’s tender vocals slow dance with her honest lyricism. Muted verses lead into swirling hooks, giving a raw kind of power to the track’s spiralling chorus. “I wrote this song after I came back from a tour having broken up with my first boyfriend and my whole world felt crazy and I had no control,” Eloise reveals. “I felt disoriented because I came home to find that my life, the way I knew it, had gone and I had to carve myself a new one. And in that pursuit, I realised the reason I felt lost was less to do with what had changed around me, and more to do with what had changed within me.”

Intimate and emotive to a fault, ‘Who’s She’ gives a nod to Eloise’s striking ability of capturing the very human experience of living with a heart that is always a little broken. “I feel my job is to write about all the ugly feelings: the things that are in-between fuck you songs and being in love songs,” she says, describing the heart-on-sleeve ethos of upcoming mini-album ‘Somewhere In-Between” – no doubt a record to look out for.
