One of the UK’s most promising new acts, Liverpool’s Pixey provides us with a taste of her next pop adventure with fresh single ‘Take Me On’.

Taken from her forthcoming EP Sunshine State due 29 October on Chess Club Records, ‘Take Me On’ follows the release of ‘Life In Stereo’, and the EP’s jubilant title track ‘Sunshine State’. Written, recorded and produced in Pixey’s bedroom in Liverpool - with additional production added by frequent Gorillaz and Jamie T collaborator James Dring.

Co-produced by Pixey herself, she explains: “‘Take Me On’ was such a joy to write. I started writing it in my first studio session and finished it the day after. The song is about taking back control when nobody is listening to you or taking you seriously, which I’ve definitely had to deal with a lot in the past. I’ve always wanted to write an empowering anthem with a simple hook, so I was so pleased when the song came together like it did.”

With a punchy video to match the catchy energy of the track, ‘Take On Me’ gets us excited not just for Pixey’s new EP but the what the future has in store for this fresh exciting artist.
