In case you hadn’t heard of Lady Bird, now’s the time. Their new single ‘Factory Fool’ is demanding your attention and goes hand in hand with the announcement of the band’s debut LP ‘WE’!

The Kent-based punk trio released a short and boisterous new track with ‘Factory Fool’, which comes with a video that seems to have been recorded at an IKEA warehouse. The combination of the single and the video has an amplifying effect, the video being fun and light-hearted but at the same time dead serious and slightly disheartening. “‘Factory Fool’ reminds us all of that sound. The ringing of the school bell which tells us when to eat, when to speak, when to work, when to move to the next teacher's classroom-whose script remains written by his master's voice, the same as from state schools through to Eaton. Ding ding, back in the ring, toe to toe-walk the line…”

‘Factory Fool’ is the dissenting voice, the stubborn kid that wouldn’t do what she or he was told, it’s an honest and in a way slightly disheartening sound because it’s true. We are all factory fools… We just needed a soundtrack for it, and Lady Bird’s just given it to us. With the track and the announcement of the upcoming EP, the band are showing why we should keep an eye and ear out for them. It’s a punchy promise and we’re glad it’s here now.
