Festival News: Reading + Leeds Festival add an additional 70+ names
With summer quickly creeping up on us, it wasn’t unexpected that we would receive another announcement from the Reading & Leeds camp! Dropping an additional 70+ names plus stage splits for the whole Bank Holiday weekend, from rock to pop, rappers to superstar DJs; Reading & Leeds has once again got everyone excited for festival season!
The Reading & Leeds Mainstage always has a host of incredible acts from all over the globe and this year is no different! After last year’s explosive secret set on The Lock Up, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes are back once more to conquer the mainstage with their cheeky punk-rock anthems, it's sure to be a memorable set! Joining them is Canadian rapper BBNO$, pop-punk sweethearts All Time Low, indie outfit Black Honey, the rockers from down under DMA’s and South London’s own royalty D-Block Europe.
The Pit and Festival Republic stage always cater to the best and brightest underground talent and 2022’s edition really embraces that! Pop-punk rapper Sueco joins the festival from across the pond as well as heavy hitting rock duo Cleopatrick, the beautifully addicting carolesdaughter, critically acclaimed and adored indie songstress beabadoobee who will be headlining the Festival Republic stage!
Never forgotten about is the Radio 1Xtra Stage which shows off the freshest hip-hop, rap, grime and anything else that falls between including hip hop duo Krept & Konan, BBC Sounds favorite Pa Salieu, american alt-rapper JPEGMAFIA, american rap royalty Danny Brown and even Liverpool’s own viral superstar Hazey! The Radio 1Xtra stage is truly jam packed this year.
Finally is the Dance Stage which always brings the party whatever time of day it is; some of the most brilliant Dance and Electronica artists the scene has are on route! Kicking the additional names off are 3 duo’s that know how to get a crowd going; Gorgon City, Sigma and the infamous hyper pop heathens 100 gecs! The genre-spanning soul searcher Bakar will also be joining this already stuffed lineup as well as Everyone You Know, hip-hop duo Sad Night Dynamite and singer-songwriter Gus Dapperton who will all surely get the party started all across the bank holiday weekend!
Before this week we were almost 100% sure Reading & Leeds 2022 couldn’t get any better, but oh how wrong we were! With all of these new names being added to the behemoth of a lineup that we already had, this might go down as one of the best Reading & Leeds weekends in recent history!!!
