The Great Escape announces full first 50 acts and Spotlight show with Faye Webster.

The Great Escape is based in 30+ walkable venues across Brighton, including its famous pop-up on the beach, and claims itself as ‘The Festival for New Music’. This festival is all about discovering your next favourite thing in an intimate setting, before they become the next biggest thing.

A conference is ran alongside the plethora of gigs, with opportunities to network with music industry professionals. They also run club nights, secret sets and Spotlight Show, which makes it an unmissable weekend trip.

The first Spotlight Show has been unveiled as Faye Webster, an indie-folk singer who uniquely blends pop and r&b influences into her catalogue. Her set is accessible via standalone Spotlight Show tickets - already available on the Great Escape website - which will be taking place on May 17th at Brighton Dome Concert Hall, which will certainly be one to watch.

Next in the big names is Sid Sriram, playing the headline slot on the BBC Asian Network Stage, which will be bringing all the freshest talent in British Asian culture. Sriram was born in India and raise in the United States, which gives him opportunity to create a unique and distinctive twist on classical Indian music by incorporating soul and r&b.

The first 50 was completed to include upcoming names such as Babymorocco, Picture Parlour, Sirens of Lesbos, SILA LUA and Zach Templar.

The festival is bracing to host over 500 acts who are tipped to be the next big thing, so it is worth a trip to discover the freshest acts and your new favourite artists. Tickets start from £89.25 and can be purchased from The Great Escape website.
