Circa Waves - 'We Made It'
Circa Waves return with heartfelt, anthemic new single ‘We Made It’.
An anthem oozing the raw spirit of survival, new Circa Waves single ‘We Made It’ is largely inspired by the near- death experience lead singer Kieran Shudall had in early 2023 after receiving a call from doctors to tell him the main artery in his heart was severely blocked. Describing his determination to turn the experience into something positive, Kieran passionately says: “I needed this record to process what I went through. A letter to tell myself I would stick around. Most of all, I wanted to make a record for me, with music I love and hopefully music to make kids in their bedroom pick up a guitar and believe they can take on the fucking world.”
Producing raw poetry amidst the pain, the lyric ‘Every silver line was a gold mine as the sun was fading’ in the chorus captures the vital optimism of their sound combined with soaring guitar, which will surely delight fans as they embark on their biggest headline tour to date.
Off the back of a major tour support of The Black Keys earlier this year Circa Waves are building huge momentum, with this new single from their album ‘Death & Love Pt.1‘ out January 21st. Culminating in a landmark show at the iconic Brixton Academy in March next year, their tour is sure to be a huge stepping stone on the band’s journey into the indie big time – and they’re already well on their way.
