Coheed and Cambria - 'Searching For Tomorrow'

Coheed and Cambria mark their return with new single ‘Searching For Tomorrow’ and an album announcement.

Coheed and Cambria have announced their forthcoming album ‘The Father of Make Believe’ which is due to come out on March 14 th 2025 via Virgin Music Group. Frontman Claudio Sanchez stated that the album turns inward to look at “a war within myself”. This time around, he’s writing more directly about his life and his career. Alongside this announcement, the band has dropped an infectious new single ‘Searching For Tomorrow’ together with an intergalactic animated music video directed by Anthony Schepperd.

For the past 20 years, Coheed and Cambria have consistently broken the mould of what a rock band should be and have forged their own path by building a universe around their music unlike anything that has been seen before. Their genre-spanning songwriting together with the multifaceted story arc of their albums and comic book series which mark the longest running concept story in music have allowed them to make a name for themselves in an innovative, non-conformist way.

When speaking about ‘Searching For Tomorrow’, Sanchez said that “the song is a reminder that always looking for something better in your life robs you of being able to appreciate the good things you already have’. This is a message that a lot of people would probably benefit from hearing, making the song relatable as well as inspirational for listeners. Sonically, the track highlights Sanchez’ powerful vocals along with memorable rock hooks and an iconic guitar solo that is bound to stay in listeners’ heads long after their listening experience.

Both ‘Searching For Tomorrow’ and a previous single ‘Blind Side Sonny’ are taken from their upcoming 10 th album ‘The Father of Make Believe’. The album will be released in multiple formats, along with bonus goodies such as a “fully wearable and functional” Blind Side Sonny helmet, “neuro-dynamic display goggles”, a hardcover illustrated novella coffee table, posters, a death certificate signed for fictional character Siv Trafinder and more. ‘Vaxis Act III: The Father of Make Believe’ limited edition box set is available for pre-order today.
