Adam Hopper & The Wimps - 'Like Dancers Do'

Adam Hopper & The Wimps unveil the stunning single: ‘Like Dancers Do’, which is sure to mesmerise listeners from the off.

Adam Hopper is no stranger to the musical scene, having been involved with post-punk group Blanketman in the past. Recently, though, the singer has taken to the gentler, sweet-sounding style of song writing. The newly formed group, The Wimps, have come together to produce a stunning piece of music in the form of the new single, ‘Like Dancers Do’.

From the off it is a catchy piece of music with a gripping, soothing melodic guitar and drum combination which will have listeners feeling filled with content. The track remains gentle, soft and dreamy throughout. The group produce such a joyous sound as they combine.

Most notable of the track is the brilliant duo-vocal performance, with both singers complimenting one another perfectly. Throughout the verses, the vocalist alternate, before joining together as the track progresses to create an angelic sound.

The instrumentation on the track is perfect. Careful guitar riffs accompany gentle acoustic chords, with a gentle bassline and a slow and steady drum beat behind everything. The layers of the track perfectly compliment the vocalists, making for a full sound.

Adam Hopper has stated, on the group’s music, that it looks towards finding hope and fantasy in the everyday and seemingly benign- think video games, gardening or looking after his cat Pippa. These wholesome influences which drive the music are plain to hear in ‘Like Dancers Do’. It perfectly encapsulates the fantasy of the everyday.

Having performed a great deal across much of the north-west, many will be aware of the group and will relish the new material. It’s impossible to ignore the bliss of ‘Like Dancers Do’: it’s soft, it’s gentle, and it shows off dreamy vocals that will have listeners in a chokehold.

Adam Hopper & The Wimps have smashed it with the single and fans will look forward to hearing more from the group.
