The Band Explains: Troyka - 'Arcades'. (Video)
Who: Featuring Kit Downes (Hammond/Synths), Chris Montague (Guitar/Loops) and Josh Blackmore (Drums), Troyka are an experimental London-based trio who make rich and enthralling instrumental music.
About The Track: 'Arcades' is the opening song taken from Troyka's third studio album, 'Ornithophobia.' The track features a deceptively mellow intro, before descending into an unrivalled concoction of prog, thrash, jazz, blues and Bernard Hermann score.
The Band Explains: “'Arcades' alludes to a mixture of things – retro gaming, horror films, anime, sci-fi – all things geek. We were excited to be collaborating further with graphic artist Naiel Ibarrola, and with animator Jordan Copeland, also a member of the amazing band Hot Head Show.
“It’s amazing to see these guys bring to life our terrifying vision of 'Ornithophobia' hitting the streets of future London. Watch your back, and don't stay there too long…”
