Single Review: Alex Lleo - 'Bedroom Door'

Alex Lleo brings something timeless with his new single 'Bedroom Door'.

Recorded at Park Studios in Birmingham with his six piece band all in one take, which has created that raw sound to the record, almost old school but with a modern edge to it.

"I wanted something to document that we could do it without any fancy trimmings,” Alex says, keen to capture the moment, rather than glossy, managed perfection during the recording. “I was determined to get the mistakes,” he says. “To be live in a room together creates moments in time that you just can’t replicate. It was that 'spur of the moment' thing I really wanted to showcase to people

Alex spends his time in Worcestershire's Lickey Hills where her lives and grew up, the awe-inspiring Scandinavian mountains, and surfing the various coastlines of the British Isles. And you can feel this in his music, as it creates a moment for you. You can see it appearing on a soundtrack for a film masterpiece, and creating that stand alone atmosphere that only music like this can do.

Alex and his six-piece band will make their London debut with a headline show at St Pancras Old Church on the 2nd May. Promoted by Communion Presents, tickets are on-sale now from SEE & DICE
