FINNEAS - 'Let's Fall In Love For The Night'

Los Angeles native FINNEAS combines easy-going charm with warm vocals in latest single ‘Let’s Fall In Love For The Night’ to craft the most wholesome booty call anthem ever made.

FINNEAS has already proven his songwriting chops as his sister Billie Eilish’s main collaborator (he penned her breakout hit ‘Ocean Eyes’), as well as on songs for Khalid, Kehlani and other members of pop’s new guard.

His latest offering was inspired by the process of daydreaming about a girl he’d never met in person and building a fantasy where they could be together, albeit temporarily. Instead of the sleaziness and shame that typically dog accounts of one night stands, FINNEAS brings out the sense of joy and freedom that can come with short term romance.  A one night thing doesn’t have to be meaningless.

It’s clear that he’s a romantic at heart and his playful yet earnest delivery has the charm of fellow love enthusiast Rex Orange County tied in with a gentleness that is very much his own. The lyric “I’m the boy that your boy hoped that you would avoid” could sound cocky and shallow coming from anyone else, but is delivered with a light-heartedness that is endlessly endearing.

This melodic softboy booty call gives the impression that he’d send the “u up?” text at a reasonable hour, then stay up to discuss why feminism is important for everyone whilst acting as the big spoon. In the morning he’d be polite to your flatmates and the two of you would never speak again, settling for intermittently watching each others’ Instagram stories. Heavenly.

Finneas, if you’re reading this, call me.
