Omar Addis - 'Roll Of The Dice'

Solo artist Omar Addis releases ‘Roll of The Dice’, which is a beautiful and imaginative blend of neo psychedelia & electronic music taken from his debut EP.

Although Omar is a young and relatively unknown artist based in Cardiff he has written and produced some very exciting music which is brought together on his debut EP ‘Double Digits’. The EP showcases some real killer sounds but also more importantly gives Omar an identity as an artist. His influences include acts such as Tame Impala, Empire of The Sun and Two Door Cinema Club all of which are quite obvious when listening to his music but Omar also creates his own style which is fluent and flows really well.

The first track of his debut EP is ‘Roll of The Dice’ which is arguably the stand out track of the EP, the combination of psychedelic & electronic music is the key to creating a great effortless indie dance tune. The production of the song is also really key because the balance of genres used in the song are perfect, nothing feels out of placed or overused, everything in the song has a purpose for creating a great song by an interesting emerging artist.

Giving this is also the first piece of music released from Omar Addis, it really does bode well for the future as now we know who he wants to be as an artist. ‘Roll of The Dice’ is great song which shows glimpses of what Omar is capable of.
