Tyler Mann - 'S.O.S'
LA-based artist Tyler Mann sends out one final ‘S.O.S’ of 2018 in the form of his electrifying genre-bending new single.
Self confessed “soulful ginger” Tyler Mann rounds off 2018 with ‘S.O'.S’ his second release of the year produced by nicopop and showing off a brooding indie pop sound with subtle R&B touches. Citing influences from Post Malone to The Neighbourhood ‘S.O’S’ is an action packed, darkly seductive 4 minutes 28 seconds of awesomeness.
In fact, ‘S.O.S’ expertly juggles a mellow soulfulness with more explosive, booming textures and even progresses into moody anthemic territory in the later half of the song , after an enthralling spoken delivery seeing the song reach fever pitch. Tyler Mann also delves into deeper waters in his lyrical theme here. ‘S.O’S’ juxtaposes a light irony in its whistled aspects of production that contrasts Tyler’s almost exhausted vocal delivery and complex narrative as the song captures that feeling of being caught up in a toxic, unproductive cycle.
’S.O’S’ follows boldly in the footsteps of equally seductive and hooky single, ‘Dancing In The Fire’ and will be followed by more fresh material in 2019, with hints of a potential album release in the summer.
