FERGUS - 'Willow'

London based singer-songwriter FERGUS releases lovingly crafted single, ‘Willow’, out now via Goldun Egg Records.

Out of the depths of an ethereal synth haze comes FERGUS’ gentle and solemn vocal, as Willow sees FERGUS draw upon poetic and natural imagery to create a peaceful and grounded ode to Willow; the baby girl of a close friend. Produced by Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga, The Libertines) Willow’ is simplistically and tenderly crafted song with a solid and wondrous driving rhythm that feels optimistic and gives lots of space for the vocal to be the song’s focal point.

’Willow’ is FERGUS’ most uplifting song to date, but the sweet melancholia to his vocal is still noticeable in parts of the song. There’s a purity and beauty to the way the track still broods but in a feel good and wholly sincere manner. ‘Willow’ is one of those gorgeous, heart warming, songs that evokes emotion in its listener by impacting straight with the gut; stirring the butterflies in its listener’s stomach and commanding them to dance. It’s just lovely.
