BILK – ‘Daydreamer’
BILK really shake off the cobwebs and fuel excitement for their debut EP with the release of their latest single ‘Daydreamer’.
The Essex trio consisting of Sol Abrahams, Luke Hare and Harry Gray bring a sound that’s brash, but fresh as it provides an honest social commentary on the state of today’s British youth culture.
BILK have built momentum with the likes of the raucous ‘Weed Song’, with the latest cut being the final taste of what we will expect from their anticipated debut EP ‘Chipped Out’.
The three-piece will celebrate the release with an eight-date tour of the UK, with the highlight being a headline slot at the famous Omeara in London on what is expected to be an explosive Bonfire Night.
It’s clear that BILK’s influences lay across a number of genres, combining indie, rap and punk which is daring but pays off in a big way. The band’s narrative focuses on growing up in the Chelmsford suburbs, expressing their angst and disdain at an uninspiring routine of being drunk at house parties which has become a stereotype of British youth culture.
The band are certainly talented in the lyrical department, with their quick fire writing hitting direct at the source and Abrahams’ confident delivery really make BILK one to watch going forward.
‘Daydreamer’ is available now on all major streaming platforms and BILK will kick off their tour at The Castle Hotel in Manchester on October 28th.
