St.Martiins – 'Saw The Moon'

Dundee’s St.Martiins release their most recent single Saw The Moon (via LAB Records).

Swooning in as a thickly carpeted bed of blooming delicateness, there’s a heavenly scent of wooze-y wonder that lingers in the surrounding velvet-vocal-valleys of St.Martiins. The duo (Katie Lynch and Mark Johnston) are a simply filmic tale of day-one connection to the point of adoration. If you want to feel as though you’ve been kissed a hundred times over by a chorus of drum-beats then keep this on repeat and hold your friends tight.

Written as the pair were living in Glasgow- an experience that “was supposed to be an energising, creative experience for us but it became the opposite.”-(Lynch), if this isn’t revitalising grown-up pop then what is? Enchantingly bruisy in all the right places with swirled in angst like a really aesthetically pleasing candle; the kind where the wax melts slow-burning yet with journey-ed purpose, the moon isn’t the only force shining bright in our universe right now.
