Subculture ft Tertia May - 'Glitter Stream Stars'

Whilst normally hiding behind the scenes as a producer; 2019 has seen Subculture releasing a string of his own singles with that late-night dreamy, lo-fi jazz/hip-hop infusion that has proved to be his signature sound.

The most recent of these singles was the moody and experimental ‘The River Bend’ which featured Rachel Chinouriri on vocals. This time round, Subculture has called on his long-time collaborator Tertia May for ‘Glitter Stream Stars’ which has subtle elements of old school garage with Subculture’s refrain: “we’re digging this all night / digging this all day”. Tertia’s silky soulful vocals offer ad libs throughout the song and a spoken-word verse which serves as the song’s outro. The juxtaposition of the two vocal lines engages you and welcomes you into the fold of a hangout session between two creative people. The effortless in which the pair work together is ever apparent.

If these three singles are anything to go by, I'd say it's a good idea not to sleep on Subculture.
