BLOOD-VISIONS – ‘01604ever’

The fact that these guys went to school with Slowthai should not have any impact on your opinion of BLOOD-VISIONS. Their latest single ‘01604ever’ should – and it’s damn good.

Released ahead of their forthcoming self-titled EP, ‘01604ever’ is hard song to ignore. Despite being from the Midlands, BLOOD-VISIONS new track opens a lot like The Orwells in the descending riff and drum beats. It then morphs into something akin to 80s/90s US punk in the growling vocals and the saturated guitars that are somehow both gnarly and beautifully melodic. BLOOD-VISIONS also have something to say, with ‘01604ever’ being written about the mundanity of young modern life that can lead to negative results such as binge drinking.

If ‘01604ever’ is anything to go by, BLOOD-VISIONS EP will be piece of magnificent energy and passion. Can’t wait.
