Eliza Shaddad - 'Girls'

Diving deep into that bewitching darkly indie sound; Eliza Shaddad’s new single ‘Girls’ explores the solidarity that comes hand in hand with going through tough times with a life-long friend.

A sense of serenity exudes from Eliza’s breathy vocals which also takes on a comforting relatability when recounting the way her friend used to hide things from her without realising that she’d be able to notice that something was wrong: “I know you too well not to work it out / I think you’re faking how far you are from breaking down.” True to form, the song comes in stages from mellow and calming, to subtle sparks of intensity which roll out like waves crashing upon a shore before being dragged back and forth with shimmering ease.

Eliza will be headlining Pop Brixton on 6th November for Big Indie Autumn Sessions.
