Simple Fiction - 'GREY'
Simple Fiction set pulses racing with their first release of the year with the new single ‘GREY’.
Hailing from Guilford, the three-piece have gone from strength to strength in a very short space of time, with their infectious hooks and lyrics reminiscent of indie classics but their talent allowing their individuality to shine through. Simple Fiction have spent a majority of 2019 on the road, with festivals throughout the summer and coveted support slots with the likes of indie darlings Bloxx and Vistas. When not on the road, the band have spent the majority of the year in the studio working to evolve their sound.
‘GREY’ certainly proves that all that studio time hasn’t got to waste, and is arguably their finest work yet. You’re washed over by refreshingly honest lyrics, centring around the feeling of “exhaustion” and “frustration” that comes with the 9 to 5 slog of everyday life. ‘GREY’ may have been a long time coming, but it was worth the wait, with their lyrics and enthusiasm separating them from the run of the mill indie bands and setting Simple Fiction on the right path to success.
