PLAZA - 'SEE'

PLAZA continue the music exploration taken on their upcoming EP with the release of the dream-like ‘SEE’.

I’ve known of this four-piece for some time, both presiding from the quaint seaside town of Hartlepool, but PLAZA’s star has continued to shine brighter with their evolving, post-indie sound. The next year or so is set to be a busy one for the quartet with the upcoming release of their second EP ‘Wernotplaza II’, a support slot with long standing friends The Night Café and their debut album on the horizon.

Speaking of their upcoming LP, we can certainly expect to hear a different PLAZA to the one began way back 2016, with the evolution beginning on the ‘Wernotplaza II’ EP with ‘BOLOSTITCHER’ and now ‘SEE’ showing a dramatic transformation sonically.  As soon as you click play, I feel transported to a different dimension by sounds seemingly plucked straight from another galaxy with songwriter Brad Lennard’s vocal sounding like it’s come from the other side of the moon.

My ear initially took me to Foals’ ‘Spanish Sahara’, but as time goes on, ‘SEE’ is something totally unique and stands PLAZA in good stead to be one of the brightest prospects in British music going forward.

‘SEE’ is available on all major streaming platforms and PLAZA will support The Night Café on their UK tour in 2020.
