Mountain Bird (aka Adam Öhman) poignantly fights back against depression and social anxiety on ‘These Tears Won’t Get Me Anywhere’ the fourth and penultimate track taken from his forthcoming EP ‘DearBrainLetMeSleep’.

Opening with warped synth textures Mountain Bird’s ‘These Tears Won’t Get Me Anywhere’ begins with a cerebral appeal almost imitating the sensation of feeling out of synch with yourself as Mountain Bird sings, “my brain shuts down any second now, so shoot me down before it takes me out”. Mountain Bird pairs these surreal textures and turbulent emotions in the lyrics with a familiar driving breakbeat reminiscent of Chase and Status’, "‘All Goes Wrong’, pushing the track forward into more upbeat territory as Mountain Bird reflects, “these tears won’t get me there, these tears won’t get me anywhere”.

On the ideas behind the track Mountain Bird explains,  “I do most things in my life in isolation.  I’ve spent my life focusing on music while suffering from both social anxiety and depression.  They come during hard periods and everything is dependent on trying to keep myself together. Some nights, I cry because I’ve put too much pressure on myself.  So, I wrote this song as a ‘fight-anthem’ to remind myself that tears won’t get me anywhere.”

’These Tears Won’t Get Me Anywhere’ is the penultimate single to be revealed from Mountain Birds upcoming EP dropping early 2020. It follows in the footsteps of the airy, melancholic and powerful ‘Clean From You’ which explores trying to move on from a relationship where someone has betrayed you, ‘Hiding Underwater’ and ‘the pulsating dance tune, Quit’. Mountain Bird has approached this project lending his own vocals to the tracks himself, as opposed to working with session vocalists which he has done in past, making this Mountain Bird’s most honest, evocative and personal collection of songs to date.
