Munroe - 'Wreak Havoc'
Munroe shares a hazy account of longing and desire on moody alternative single, ‘Wreak Havoc’.
Through heavy piano keys and distorted textures rings Munroe’s emotive, atmospheric vocal opens solemnly as she ponders, “why don’t you want me? I come with some tricks". ‘Wreak Havoc’ broods and smoulders in a minimalistic yet powerful way as sophisticated jazzy brass flitters in and out of the production, offering a romanticism and warmth to juxtapose the more urgent and moody tones to the track.
Produced in LA with Benjamin Schwab, ’Wreak Havoc’ is the first of a series of singles Munroe wrote while living in Paris and New York. It’s a poignant and confessional song about longing, desire and feeling rejected, that is all the more beautiful for its vulnerability and raw, rough around the edges delivery.
