Lou Stone - 'Higher Than High' — When The Horn Blows

Lou Stone has celebrated touching ground for his debut Australian shows with the release of his new single 'Higher Than High'.

Stone Is truly a talent to behold, utilising multiple instruments and a knack for songwriting to be one of the highly regarded new talents on the scene, garnering praise from the likes of The Independent and Clash. It's been a busy year for the soloist with intimate shows In London and across the continent, but Stone is set to break new ground with his solo visit to Australia at the beginning of December.

The release of 'Higher Than High' coincides with Stones' landmark trip to the other side of the globe, and he heads to the continent with a beautiful back catalogue with his debut EP and recent single 'Truth Toy' which Stones responds to on his new effort with both written around the same time.

'Higher Than High' had a mystical sense to it but is a delicate ballad at heart, beautifully underpinned by synths and nylon strings and warm vocals. Where 'Truth Toy' calls for people to be "honest with each other", Stones describes the "difficulty" of honesty and how you're honest with yourself in terms of a relationship. Stones captures such a difficult subject like lightning in a bottle, and with his talent his potential is unlimited.
