Y Not Fest: Two Door Cinema Club, Foals and Elbow to headline

It's been a week of relentless teasing from the organisers of Derbyshire's 'Y Not' Festival.

In the run up to the highly anticipated line-up announcement they've counted down the hours (and even minutes) 'til the launch, posting potatoes and poking fun at curious fans via Twitter all the way. Now, the first line of artists have been announced and oh boy - it's a doozy.

Cult favourite Elbow head up the Pikehall festival, alongside Two Door Cinema Club, Foals, You Me At Six, and Franz Ferdinand. Y Not also sees Wolf Alice take another big step into the world of festival headlining, already sitting pretty on top of Truck Festival and Standon's Callings lists.

It's promising to be a lively one, with Irish punks Fontaines D.C and The Murder Capital joining Margate rascals Sports Team and the outrageous Don Brocco. All a bit much? The mighty, tear-jerking vocals of Dermot Kennedy will be on hand to ease attendees back down to earth. The festival, which takes place between the 26th-29th of July, will also welcome Madchester icons Happy Mondays and brilliantly feral Bristol punks Idles.

We might be in the depths of bleak midwinter, but this phenomenal Y Not festival line-up has us dreaming of rolling hills, balmy evenings and class, class tunes.
