Cautious Clay - 'HONEST ENOUGH'
Cautious Clay unveils ‘HONEST ENOUGH’ the reflective second single from his forthcoming EP.
Cautious Clay keeps it chill on his new cut ‘HONEST ENOUGH’. Atmospheric, smooth rnb vocals meet mellow and minimalist production with a hint of funk courtesy of Medasin, as the track calmy reflects on the ways we fail ourselves (and each other) when personal relationships start to break or cave under pressure. ‘Honest Enough’ is a clean and airy track that feels fresh and reignites the idea of being fully honest to ourselves and the people we care about.
"‘HONEST ENOUGH’ lyrically details the cycle of drama in personal relationships, showing how we cast blame, hide from confrontation and sometimes stay too long. We often are just the right amount of honest in order to keep the status quo when what we really need most is a big shakeup”.
Following in the fiery, trap-influenced footsteps of ‘REASONS’ (co-written with Hudson Mohawke and Tobias Jesso Jr, and produced by Hudson Mohawke and Cautious Clay) ‘Honest Enough’ shows that Cautious Clay’s upcoming EP is looking to be an exciting multi-mood affair, whose release is much anticipated.
