PLAZA - 'Hold'
PLAZA return with a more emotive, guitar-driven sound on their latest single ‘Hold’.
The Hartlepool-based post-indie outfit have continued to go from strength-to-strength, impressing the masses as supports for the likes of The Night Café, and more recently The Pale White, along with slots at Stockton Calling and Hit The North in the coming months.
Having seen them recently as support for another highly regarded act A Festival, A Parade, the four-piece stated that they are looking to reinvent their sound, ‘Hold’ is certainly the first step towards that. Released on Clue Records, the latest track from Brad, Will, and the two Matty’s sees them collaborate with regular producer Alex Greaves, with the track being atmospheric and brooding from the off while keeping the band’s signature match rock sound.
‘Hold’ provides a sense of immediacy and intimacy, driven by emotive lyrics and the underpinning chorus of “I’ve got things to do tonight but they’ll have to wait”. Lead vocalist Bill admitted that ‘Hold’ is a “straight up hit” and the first of what we can expect to be a set of quality releases over the rest of 2019.
‘Hold’ is now available on all major streaming platforms, PLAZA will play at Stockton Calling on April 20th.
