Among The Citizens - 'Next Time'

Among The Citizens make a long-awaited return to music with their first release since 2018 in the form of their new single ‘Next Time’.

Based near Peterborough, this four-piece bring their unique brand of alternative indie sound, taking a mixture of sound both old and new with the likes of The Cure and JAWS considered as influences for their infectious guitar melodies. Among The Citizens have been championed by the likes of This Feeling to take their music around the country, with support slots for the likes of Bloxx and a upcoming headline tour to celebrate ‘Next Time’.

Their latest track does have a tinge of sadness to it, with lead vocalist John Gooding taking inspiration for ‘Next Time’ from the breakdown in communication between two people. The subject matter is counteracted with a funky synthesisers and melodies to mark a great return to the limelight for this four-piece.  ‘Next Time’ is available now on all major streaming platforms, Among The Citizens will play the Voodoo Lounge in Stamford on April 26th.
