The Big Moon - 'Your Light'

The Big Moon announce their second album ‘Walking Like We Do’ and release their newest single ‘Your Light’.

After the success of their debut album, ‘Love in the 4th Dimension’, The Big Moon finally announce their next record, titled ‘Walking Like We Do’ and out 10th January. At the same time, the band dropped a second track from the album to follow the dreamy ‘It’s Easy Then’. Named ‘Your Light’, this single encapsulates everything that is amazing about The Big Moon.

The infectious beat and bassline are present from the start of the track, setting the perfect backdrop for frontwoman Juliette Jacksons’ powerful voice. Typical of The Big Moon, the harmonies and overlapping layers of voices soon come to light and builds to the chorus. Lyrically, the chorus is simple, yet as upbeat, compelling, and formidable as ever.

Releasing the official music video to ‘Your Light’ alongside the single, it depicts the four band members cycling in the sunny British countryside.

Jackson explains that “This song is about freeing yourself from all of it, just for a moment. It’s a thanks to the one person or thing in your life that knows how to come in and open your curtains and light up the darkness and restore your strength so that when you clatter back down into the real world you have the strength to fight your battles, whatever they are.” If the rest of the album is as incredible as its first two singles, then ‘Walking Like We Do’ will be one of the best of 2020.

Catch The Big Moon in the UK supporting The Pixies in September 2019, and Bombay Bicycle Club in January/February 2020.
