Travel With The Sun - 'Flaws'

Swedish quartet Travel With The Sun share an introspective love confessional on sentimental pop single, ‘Flaws’.

Opening as a beautiful piano ballad showing off an emotive, sweeping vocal. Travel With The Sun lay all their cards on the table as they take their listener on an intimate journey of gratitude in finding someone who accepts them unconditionally, “but somehow you understand my abnormalities and accept me for who I am”. ‘Flaws’ is a stripped song both sonically and lyrically and is a vehicle to express perceived failings in a very human and relatable way, “I know communication is the key and I don’t know why but it scares me to say how I feel… yeah that’s one of my flaws”.

As ‘Flaws’ develops it twinkles with a romantic sophistication and introduces a charming cello melody that achingly accentuates the vulnerability and honesty in the song. ‘Flaws’ is taken from Travel With The Sun’s upcoming album, ‘Psycho’ which is due out in November and ‘Flaws’ follows in the footsteps of the band’s previous single, ‘Bad Ink’. ‘Bad Ink’ sits at a different side of the sonic spectrum to ‘Flaws’ with its searing, theatrical stadium rock meets prog rock stylistics, drawing similarities to Muse and lining the album up to be a versatile affair from a high energy band who can also strip things back to reveal real heart.
