Duckwrth - 'Crush'

Duckwrth does infectious, danceable hip hop to perfection on sleek new single Crush. 

Opening with a guitar riff reminiscent of noughties Justin Timberlake is a bold move for a rapper as innovative and fresh as Duckwrth, but as soon as his vocals burst on to the track it becomes obvious that sexy was only in hibernation and with this track, is once again very much back. 

The song is smartly mixed, with a unique synth hook at the foreground complimenting Duckwrth’s laidback and cool vocals expertly. As it says on the tin, the lyrics are undeniably about a crush, and this infatuation is evident throughout, with a chorus as catchy as feelings.

Championed by names such as Tyler, The Creator and Anderson .Paak, this single is evidence Duckwrth can stand shoulder to shoulder with his contemporaries, and after an upcoming tour supporting Billie Eilish it’s very possible we will be talking about him in the same breath as these artists very soon.
