The Band Explains: Roofers Union - 'Sea Legs'

Roofers Union chat to us about their single and music video for ‘Sea Legs’, taken from the band's new album, ‘The Mantle’. ‘Sea Legs’ is a song about heartbreak, and hanging on to the last threads of a relationship before you are left only with memories.

Where was the video for ‘Sea Legs’ filmed?
We shot in a lovely Air Bnb outside of Newark, NJ. Thank you to Bernard and Lisa for their gorgeous home!

How does the video connect with the song?

We would mostly prefer to have the art speak for itself - at its core though, the song and video are about relationships, to put it simply.

Do you have any behind the scenes stories you can share with us?
During filming we were delayed half an hour because a production assistant got bit by a garden snake while taking out the trash. This caused quite a stir but we got back on schedule!

Could you tell us about the ideas/themes/imagery used?
Similar to #2, we would prefer the imagery be left for interpretation.

Is there a message the video is trying to convey?
No message per se, more of a moment in life that we attempted to capture.
