Sea Girls – ‘Ready For More’

Sea Girls lay it bare for everyone to see as they gear up for a massive year with the release of their new single ‘Ready For More’.

It has been a steady rise to the top for this four-piece, but it was 2019 that changed it all for Sea Girls. The band toured the world over including their biggest headline tour to date towards the end of the year including dates in America, but the cherry on top was signing a major deal with Polydor which will set the wheels in motion for a very bright future for this quartet.

2020 is the start of that journey, with Henry Camamile, Rory Young, Andrew Dawson and Oli Khan touring Europe throughout January and February, before the release of their new EP ‘Under The Exit Lights’ in March with ‘Ready For More’ opening the six-track effort.

The band have been dropping snippets of the EP throughout for more than a year, with the likes of ‘Damage Done’ and ‘Violet’ receiving heavy radio support for being infectious while preaching rawness and vulnerability.

Camamile has always been honest about where he finds inspiration for his lyrics, describing this track as the “bad apple” of their new EP. Uplifting guitar riffs lead the once again, but its “sweetness” is intentional, but pull back the surface and you will stare into the “abyss of nihilistic behaviour” and Camamile’s fear of being unable to change the path he was going down.

‘Ready For More’ is another brilliantly catchy and mature release from Sea Girls, who are forging their way as one of the most important up and coming bands of their generation and I can already anticipate that ‘Under The Exit Lights’ EP will be one of the most significant releases of 2020.

‘Ready For More’ is available now on all major streaming platforms and Sea Girls will kick off their European tour at Twix in Antwerp on January 21st.
