HONEYMOAN - 'Weirdo'

Contrary to its title, the new single from HONEYMOAN, ‘Weirdo’, is distinctly cool.

Less oddball and more individual,(the nuance in weirdo is clearly important), the track opens immediately with rich yet sweet vocals over quirky guitars. The song grooves along at an enticing pace before the chorus comes and embraces you in a sonic, warm hug- a hug so big you can dance amongst it. 

The chorus is like an enormous endorphin hit, everything hitting at once in perfect bliss. The production is key in creating this effect, with nonchalant, restrained vocals not losing any precedence to the brilliant crescendo of instrumentals, whilst maintaining intimacy in the middle of a huge alt-pop banger. It’s expertly done and very impressive.

There’s no shame in dancing like a weirdo to HONEYMOAN’s latest song, nor pressing repeat many times, craving another dose of the infectious brilliance they’ve released here.
